Maker’s Market In Maryville

We received a request to share a special event from the East Tennessee Maker’s Market in nearby Maryville, TN, about half an hour from Townsend, TN, and 45 minutes from Wears Valley. We are happy to share special event information such as this and happier still that Smoky Mountain visitors will be able to see and visit!

Debra from East Tennessee Makers Market writes:

“The Makers Market truly is a special market that is enjoyed and cherished by the community and very well attended. We host three markets a year and this market was created for local artist and artisans to showcase and offer their handcrafted, home grown, scratch-made goods. All goods crafted by hand! We have a great line-up of 65 selected makers coming, including several scratch-made bakers and one of our towns best lunch truck will be offering lunch.

The great things you can expect to find: * Fresh brewed coffee * Fresh baked breads * Gourmet treats and drinks * Blacksmith * Potters * Painters * Printmaking * Jewelry * Natural skin care * Hand poured candles * Textiles * Wood working * Adorable gifts for children and pets * Leather goods * Local grown plants and flowers * Home decor items * On-site screen printing * And more!

Our markets are held outdoors, free admission, on the beautiful campus of Maryville College, just at the foothills of our Great Smokey Mountain Park. Maryville is just a short drive from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and this event would be a great addition to their scheduled outings.”
