Beginning this week is Townsend’s celebration of the winter season with Snowdown 2017!

“The Snowdown festival features Appalachian music events including Singers and Songwriters in the round, various live performances, Dulcimer classes and banjo picking – just a few of the many events slated for this weekend!
Enjoy authentic, regional food and beverage offerings all weekend. The Snowdown lineup includes cast iron cooking classes, Sunday church breakfasts, a chili cook off competition, plus food and wine pairing dinners, beer pairings, bourbon tastings and chocolate making all to enjoy throughout the festival.
